Got through this idea today evening thinking about the committees out here in (Hel)L. To start with ,when I was a kid,we used to have some houses in school which would fight out to get the coveted sports trophy.Sometimes,I would think that the ends were really not a deserved one and not shared with the real responsible people. Came Engg. college and there were some 4-5 committees there.Since there was lot of politics,infights and some events that they used to do,it was better to be away from them.Some of the branch forums were too ridiculous at the outset esp. Foronix (Forum for Elex. Engg.). Then I joined Infy.I expected the politics to stop there ,but then I came to know the concept of India of Kannadigas and Tamils,North and South and what not.It was not part of work culture ,but a bond that people shared and had great difficulty in moving out off or looking for people outside it.The same was more or less proved here in L.Some of them are completely dominated by a particular state t...

The Journey to Home and Back

Its always nostalgic going home and then coming back. Most of the time is spent in sleeping ,at least for me. But then the fight for the Jeeps and other means of transport at Faizabad reminds me of the great days in Sultanpur. During my entire college stay in Sultanpur, I did not spend more than 2 months, in the college, at stretch. Reason:- I was home most of the time, sick of mess food ,the bus going to Faizabad right in front of the college and it was damn cheap(50-60 bucks to home ,when the 10km rates from BTM to MG road in bangalore are the same via auto).And yes I have taken those Bangalore autowallahs many a time ,just for the sake of going to MG road for no reason and Forum (being the Bangalore temple where one meets all the devis and devtas of Bangalore). Anyways, the fight to home last weekend was one of these. Waited for 2-3 hrs at the bus stand and then took the bus to Faizabad. But this time there was no waiting in Faizabad.
